Nasra Yahya is health and Nutrition specialist with over 10 years expertise in implementing and managing diverse community health and harm reduction programs, encompassing refugees and host community populations in Kenya, Somalia and Sudan. She has successfully implemented various developmental and advocacy projects including access to family planning services, seeking treatment on time and timely referral of patients to different points of service delivery. Implementing and managing community health and harm reduction programs in the capacity of program lead has enabled me to identify glaring gaps in effective programming for women who use drugs. Being a health and nutrition specialist, I strongly believe that upholding women’s right to health enhances their access to other human rights and the delivery of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), instigating a surge in transformative change.
